- At 09.30 am, BSE Sensex was 153.32 points or 0.37% higher at 41317.08. The Nifty 50 gained 41.10 points or 0.34% at 12167.65
- Among sectoral indices, BSE Telecom was the biggest gainer, up 0.62%, followed by BSE Bankex 0.56% and BSE Energy index 0.54%
Indian equities gained for the first time in four days on Friday tracking Asian markets. At 09.30 am, BSE Sensex was 153.32 points or 0.37% higher at 41317.08. The Nifty 50 gained 41.10 points or 0.34% at 12167.65.
Asian markets were trading higher. Japan's Nikkei 225 index gained 0.04%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index 1.14%, and China's Shanghai Composite index rose 0.85%.
The BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap rose around 0.5% each. On Nifty, 14 shares advanced and 36 declined.
Among sectoral indices, BSE Telecom was the biggest gainer, up 0.62%, followed by BSE Bankex 0.56% and BSE Energy index 0.54%. However, BSE IT index lost 0.17% and BSE Teck lost 0.04%.
Allahabad Bank gained 8.2% to ₹19.20 as the government will infuse fresh capital amounting to ₹2,153 crore in the bank. The capital infusion will take place via preferential allotment of equity shares during the current fiscal.
HG Infra Engineering increased 7.8% to ₹262.70 as the organization was proclaimed L-1 bidder by the National Highways Authority of India for the venture development of proposed Rewari Bypass (NH-11) as feeder course in Rewari region of Haryana on cross breed annuity mode with a measure of ₹522.02 crore.
Sical Logistics lost 4.9% to ₹16.40 as the organization deferred installment of semi-yearly intrigue payable on the 11% redeemable NCDs recorded with NSE for sole debenture holders, due on December 27.
GPT Infraprojects fell 3% to ₹40.20 as CARE Ratings downsized long haul rating on organization's advance offices of ₹554.21 crore to BBB-/Stable from BBB/Stable.
Punjab National Bank increased 2.6% at ₹64.40 as it raised ₹1,500 crore by giving Basel III agreeable bonds. The bank gave 15,000 redeemable Basel III consistent capital securities at a coupon pace of 8.15% per annum on a private position premise. To conform to Basel III capital guidelines, banks need to improve and reinforce their capital arranging forms.
