  • Asian stocks, too, rose on Wednesday. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.2 per cent, ending four days of losses. Australian shares rose 0.41 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei stock index rose 0.27 per cent.

  • Result Impact | Sagar Cements dips over 1% , For December quarter, the company witnessed witnessed a decline of 18 per cent YoY in revenue to Rs 262 crore amid a weak demand environment. Realizations also corrected 1.1 per cent YoY to Rs 3,431/t. Lower operating profits led to a decline in PAT. Net loss for the quarter stood at Rs 9.1 crore against a loss in Rs 3 crore in Q3FY19.

At 09:17 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 191.14 points or 0.47% at 41158.00, and the Nifty up 60.40 points or 0.50% at 12116.20. About 592 shares have advanced, 128 shares declined, and 25 shares are unchanged.





Cummins, Zee Ent, ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, JSW Steel, Tata Motors, Gail and Bharti Airtel are among major gainers on the Indices, while losers are TCS, Dr Reddy's Lab, HDFC and Eicher Motors.

  • MARKET UPDATE:: Sudden fall in Nifty, index near 12,100 levels
  • Bajaj Finance surges over 3%
  • Bajaj Finance Q3 result: Profit rose 52 percent at Rs 1,614 crore versus Rs 1,060 crore, NII was up 42 percent at Rs 4,537 crore versus Rs 3,206 crore.
  • Taj GVK Q3: Consolidated net profit grew 39.1 percent at Rs 13.2 crore against Rs 9.5 crore YoY. Consolidated revenue went up 6.2 percent at Rs 91.1 crore against Rs 86 crore YoY. Consolidated EBITDA was up 12.3 percent at Rs 25.9 crore against Rs 23 crore YoY. Consolidated EBITDA margin stood at 28.4 percent against 26.8 percent .
  • Kalyani Steels Q3: Consolidated net profit went down 6.8 percent at Rs 31.2 crore against Rs 34.4 crore YoY. Consolidated revenue went down 25 percent at Rs 280.5 crore against Rs 374 crore YoY. Consolidated EBITDA went up 16.9 percent at Rs 50.2 crore against Rs 42.9 crore YoY. Consolidated EBITDA margin stood at 17.9 percent against 11.5 percent .
  • Ramco Cements Q3: Standalone net profit went diown 6 percent at Rs 94.8 crore against Rs 101.1 crore YoY. Standalone revenue grew 5.6 percent at Rs 1,278 crore against Rs 1,210 crore YoY. Standalone EBITDA was down 5 percent at Rs 203 crore against Rs 213.5 crore .
  • Closing Bell: Indices break 2-day losing streak; Nifty ends above 12,100
  • Sensex ended 231.80 points higher at 41,198.66, while Nifty rose 73.70 points to finish at 12,129.50.
  • The frontline S&P BSE Sensex snapped two-day losing streak to settle 231.80 points, or 0.57 per cent, higher at 41,198.66 level
  • On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the Nifty50 settled above the crucial 12,100-mark at 12,129.10 level, up 73.30 points or 0.61 per cent.
